I have now finished the RTC 0.3 and found also following (I am afraid I am boring now ):
1. When magic box is used, it should disappear. When I tried to kill Chaos, it was unlimited
2. Using magic box to freeze life did not worked for Chaos and hell flames if I remember correctly.
In DM the box is called "Freeze Life" but it's "Freeze Time" in RTC. The reason for that is quite obvious - it doesn't freeze time, just living organisms. If it froze time, then the party wouldn't benefit from using it. Of course, you could also argue "Why doesn't freeze life affect the party too?", but anyway...
The amount of time frozen seems quite a bit longer than in DM. The blue boxes only lasted a few seconds I seem to recall. I'll do some definitive testing of this.
Rule of thumb...one blue freeze life lets a character attack and recover from using a weapon successfully on chops/thrust...something medium in time length
I seem to recall a green box letting you get in two powerful (berserk) attacks before it wore off, unfreezing just before recovery.
If champion ability/level also affects recovery significantly, then nevermind
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!
I might be wrong, but I seem to remember something about a champion's Priest level affecting the "freeze life" duration. I haven't played in ages, though, so don't take my word for it.
