I was playing through the first level today and noticed that with screemers, who have 4 possible positions in each square, I could not hit them (swing/chop etc) if they were on the back section of the square, with none in front. The reason I think this could cause a problem is if the ran away into a corner and got on the far side of the square you could not kill them then without throwing objects or spells. As you can see its not a big concern, I just don't remember it being this way in the original DM (I also don't remember then moving around in the square as much as they do now, or joining and splitting groups). Just wondering if this is how its intended to act or not.

Not sure if this is a bug or as intended

Re: Not sure if this is a bug or as intended
Yes, this is intended on the grounds that they can't hit you on the back row, so you can't hit them.
The situation you describe however isn't possible because as soon as a fleeing monster becomes trapped in a dead end, it'll turn round, move forwards and attack.
It is however different to DM...
