Sprite Layering (v0.16)

Post by Gambit37 »

Category: Graphics
Type: Difference from DM / personal preference

Monsters are not drawn last, so that objects can appear over them causing weird effects. In all versions of DM, monsters are always drawn last so that they appear over all objects. That may not be technically correct, but it looks much better in my opinion.

I've posted a classic example of this error, which I think highlights the problem perfectly. It looks very odd!

agreed..larger creatures such as worms, scorpions and dragons look odd with objects drawn over them - but is this an easy fixgiven smaller monsters have to be drawn before if on the back tiles?
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!
