Ever tried regular DM with one player?

Post by MutatedBlade42 »

I did, and finished the game. Ho hum...*glances at CSB*

I could try... :)

Fun thing with playing DM with one player...you could dodge fireballs and lightning bolts...(it depends on which side you are and fireballs are..)

Also...Just be sure there's no wall behind you when you're dodging.

Lemme see...my level of my guy who made it to end on regular DM:

lo master fighter
(Square) master ninja (primarly because of diamond edge...very nice sword)
expert priest
lo master wizard

MutatedBlade42's quote for a while:
Nightsky: Meanwhile the MAD Dr. FrankenSkyien makes his way to the Bulldrek University all along the way singing cheerfully....
"Doom! We're doomed! Doomdoomdedoomdoomdoom. Doom doom DOOM!"

For the dodging - put your guy in the back row, at whichever side you like. Staring constantly during a fight at your 'weak' side you should find you can react fast enough to spin out of the way if a spell is slung at you.
Like you say, doesn't work with a wall behind you : )

I tried CSB4win with one character the first time i played it, and didn't do too badly (Aroc, and obviously not reincarnated). The lack of food/water, and the fact that you can dump so much stuff at the junction of ways, means it's a really cool idea. Lack of mana was a bit annoying though : (
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!

I tried DM with Chani, not reincarnated and finished it. I think she was at least LO master in everything - it was quite long ago. I tried CSB with Itza but never got round to finishing it.
Ian

The fun thing is the newest version of CSB4win has changed a small bug in the reincarnation routine inline with the original game, so all bets are off, and the timings are now rest...so all comers can attempt it again : )
