new DM art?

Does anyone know of a way I can affect the art in DM?
I'm an animator & a big fan of DM. I would love to be able to make new graphic sets for DM. You know.. breath a little new life into old bones.
If anyone can help me gain access to the images in the Graphics.dat file I'd be more than happy to take some further suggestions form them on what to make first.
