I just wanted to say hello and thanks for this wonderful site! I used to play Dungeon Master on my old Atari ST. Today I fired up my Atari Falcon for the first time in years and stuck in my Dungeon Master disk, not sure whether DM would even run on the Falcon. But it ran just fine and 12 years after its release I'd say its STILL one of the top 3 games I've ever played on any computer.
What is it about this game that is so involving? I still rememeber the amazing satisfaction and triumph I felt the first time I beat the game after 6 months of playing it. Now I try to tell my kids about the thrill of Dungeon Master and they think I'm nuts. But those mummies and purple worms still scare me!
Chaos Strikes Back and Dungeon Master II never really did it for me. But the Original Dungeon Master deserves to go down in history as one of the greatest computer games of all time!
