argh (reliable emulator???)

Post by Celine »

I finished level 3 and powered up my characters in the regenerating screamer room, but when I went to save my game, the emulator froze and corrupted my file. All that work, for nothing!!!

Is there a version of DM that works WELL?? I was using the Amiga emulated version this time. I've had troubles with the ST version also crashing, and the PC version not doing sounds and lighting correctly. There don't seem to be many options left...

Why don't you try downloading CSB4win (v9.1 or later) and the DM dungeon.dat file for that platform? With CSB4win you have other options too like a record facility, speed, 4 savegame slots and sizing options. All the bits you need are on this site somewhere with full instructions. This is by far the best way of playing DM.

To play the PC version of DM, you should be in real DOS mode.

The ST version, "hard disk", on this site works very well.
Use it with Steem, Steem allows you to save any situation when you want (save snapshot).
