DMute &/ DMEdit src?

I've noticed that DMute and DMEdit have their differences, pros, and cons, and i was wondering if the source is available (publicly or per request) to either? I ask for the purpose of continueing the projects IF they are no longer being worked on. I don't mean to steal their hard work but only start where they left off.

Personally i like DMute alot but it has a few bugs and twerks that could be fixed/changed to make dungeon editing easier and more relaxing (Less hexing)

You can post asking George directly on the RTC message boards (link is above before the forum lists for here) about DMute, but I think as a personal project his answer may be no, even though he has been working on RTC instead

DMBuilder is still an active project by Sphenx, so there is an obvious logistical problem for releasing the source - I'll let him answer though : )

Beowuuf answered well. If you want to know, the code of DMBuild is muting into a programme that will either compile DMBuild or SKBuild, because I will keep the same interface for both editors. But I want to release the next version with a stable code, which means to be patient again ..

By the way, I would like to hear the pros and the cons .. : )

I think it's such a shame that when Dungeon Master was released on the Atari St back in 1987 an additional disc could not have been added or even "released" allowing "Dungeon Muting" THEN

what would have been the problem ?

I tremendously enjoy putting together dungeons within the .txt system exampled by "the Orange"
but SURELY this could have all been done back in the 1980s

I feel gutted that it wasn't

Its probably because during the 80's no one really cared for that stuff plus it was probably alot harder and time consuming to build editors anyways....of course I wouldn't know I was too young then when DM first came out(didn't have a computer at that time).
