CSBuild 0.779 and CSBwin 9.51i

Post by Paul Stevens »

I put the new CSBuild0779 and CSBexe951i at

http://www.dianneandpaul.net/

(Our domain name finally got registered.)
==============================================
CSBuild Version 0.779

--Limit Pressure Pad delay to 15.
--Allow 'Pop' to reorder objects in walls.
--Identify clothing on rightside text.
--Identify potions on rightside text.
--Identify weapons on rightside text.
--Print scroll text on rightside text.
--Allow inappropriate items in stairwells.
--Make 'character edit' dialog wider to avoid truncation.
--Make 'Choose Target' dialog wider.
--Allow wall decorations on Trick Walls.
--Editing Misc objects allows party member to be specifed
for Bones(Party)
--Implement Search Dungeon for weapon
--Remove 'Local Action' selection in Disabled Actuator dialog.
--Fix crash in 'Edit DSA' when display state set to 4294967296.
--Lower-case Door and Wall Decoration names.
--Remove 'Monster Behaviour' menu item.
--Allow text in Door cell.
--Change name of 'Mon Potion(blue)' to 'Mon Potion(Stamina)'.
--Lower-case all object names.
--Allow EndGame actuator in non-wall cell.
--Allow wall text to be specified with spaces between words.
--Allow specification of all five stages of door opening/closing.
--The big change was to treat Trick Walls as two different kinds
of cells. If the wall is visible, it is treated (more-or-less)
as a Wall cell. If it is invisible, it is treated as an Open
cell. This allows you to hang Portaits and such (with wall
decorations) on Trick Walls that are marked visible. And it
allows Pressure Pads and such (with floor decorations) on Trick
Walls that are marked as invisible. I added a new tile icon to
differentiate between the two wall types. Of course you had
better know what you are doing. The runtime cannot
distinguish between pressure pads and push buttons.
But this is what was wanted so this is what you got.
===========================================
CSBwin 21June03

Check position of size 4 monsters. They must have positons
of 3,3,3,3 to be visible. If incorrect I change it silently.

Limit Wall Text to 18 characters per line to avoid strange
things from happening.

Added 'List All Items Remaining'. Like the old 'Items Remaining'
except that it does not assume the CSB dungeon.

Fix 'Divide-by-zero' crash when Luck is zero.

You forgot to change the alternate tiles of CSBuild. This surely can way until next release.

Since version 951g, I have met a bug (crash) when being hit by a fireball. I didn't succed to reproduce with version 951f.

I still get windows saying that "Size 2 monsters improperly positionned" on the rat level of original DM (but it is an older release's save).

I did not forget to change the alternate tiles. That
is a 'third party' product. You will have to find the
author and ask for an updated file.

Especially on these interim releases. If you ALWAYS
enable the recording then we can generally reproduce
such crashes with the log file.

OK.....I will remove the warning and do as I did
for the size four monsters - fix it silently.

(do not know how to upload... A mail follows)

Didn't search the author, but here is the update.

I have a record (very short). Seems meaningless numbers, but you can probably read it. It comes with csbgame.dat. I hope you won't flame me because you didn't need it and have 56k modem :-(

Your crash should be fixed in version 9.51j.
