Hello everyone,
I was wondering how I could edit the portraits of my champions in Chaos Strikes Back for Windows and Linux. I noticed that the utility function is included, but does not allow for modification of the portraits.
I have downloaded DMute v1.4, but it doesn't recognize my save game *.dat as a valid save file, and won't even open it. Is there currently a tool that will allow me to play with the portraits of my champions with CSBWin 9.6?

Nope....not with the save game files. You can fiddle
with the dungeon.dat (and mini.dat) before starting
a game but once it is started there is not much you can
do with the portraits.
Several people have declared their intent to fix the
utility program to allow editing but nobody has
reported any success.

Re: Editing Portraits in CSBwin
I just put CSBuild Version 0.780 at
dianneandpaul.net
It allows you to export the champions' portraits from
a saved game, edit them, and then import the new
portraits.

Version 0.781 has been released at the same
location:
dianneandpaul.net
This release is for Christophe, who could not figure
out how to make version 0.780 work.
