Hard to port?

Post by Terrance »

How hard is it to port your CSB sources to another system? I'm thinking about porting it to Palm, esp. to Sony's Clie. Resolution 320x320, VFS via Memory stick to store the data (it's not that hard to make a sequentiell read on files), so the requirements should be possible. But is it possible at all?

well you can most certainly get access to all the graphics with the DM graphics ripper and all the sounds are around too. Along with all of that there are several resources around to tell you about the levels of items their interaction with eachother hidden stats etc etc etc.

So if you had to code from scratch for the engine all the other data at least will be there at your finger tips. :)

Port to palm?

Post by Tintomara »

How much memory has a palm got? The ST screen only, was 32000 bytes.
I'll assume that CSB would need at least those 512 kB the ST had. Then you must add Paul's code to this, and the extra memory it requires.
