RTCED SUGGESTION: Rotating items/objects

Post by Gambit37 »

I realise that the rotation hasn't yet been implemented, but when it is, I think that it should work like this:

When you select an item from the Object Vault and are dragging it over the map, press space repeatedly to toggle the rotation of the object.

actually it has been implemented. **before you place the item** right click to change the orientation of monsters on the tile or the direction of wall ornaments.

Err, have you tried the right mouse button? It is on the help panel at the bottom.

There's nothing on the help panel about rotating items.... but I tried it and it worked, which is cool.

I'd still like to use the spacebar if possible though, especially if the RMB becomes more of an 'editing' button, as this could lead to inconsistencies.

The reason I've suggested using the LMB/RMB differently is so that it's more like Windows. In Windows, LMB is ALWAYS the 'do something directly' button, while the RMB is always 'show me what else I can do here' -- usually by popping up a context menu.

Will amend the help panel and look over the LMB/RMB suggestions tonight.

Cheers for the feedback
