Help Paul Stevens the great!^^

Post by Sousou »

Hello Paul Stevens the splendid :D :P

one I have a problem with CSBuild and CSBwin. I modified the stats characters in CSBuild. I safeguarded Dungeon.dat. And I play in CSBwin, but at the time of the opening of the door, the play is planted!

What do I have to make???? :(

Thank you in advance Paul Stevens the glorieux^^

PS: I translated French with Babel Fish^^

Not enough information.

I do not know what "safeguarded" means. If you
mean that you encrypted the file then that is probably
what is causing CSBwin to crash. The latest version of CSBwin
can read files that are not encrypted or files that are
encrypted with the key "1". Anything else will cause
it to crash. In order to use other encryption keys you
need me to create a special version of CSBwin.

What version of CSBuild and CSBwin are you using?

Hello there-I just wanted to add, that I can only "use" a selfmade dungeon with an CSB.EXE version 9.6v5 from a folder/release0.i (it came originally from conflux2 but I think it is/was not the newest version.)
I am not able to use it with csb4win.exe!!!;

Just for fun:

I mog bloß song, dos i koane seiba gmacht´n dungeons mit der csb4win.exe spuin ko, es gäht aber scho, wenn i nachad des CSB.EXE vo an Ordner /release0.i hernimm, des glab i vo dem conflux2-dungeon gwesen is.

paul, is this only the latest release that has this bug/feature, or is it the same with all encrypted dungeons on previous csb4win?

is this only the latest release that has this bug/feature
What bug/feature are you talking about? If you mean the fact
that any encryption key other than "1" requires a special
version of CSBwin then this is a feature that was built into
the system on purpose. It has been that way since encryption
was introduced. When I release my 1D2D3D dungeon.
I can only "use" a selfmade dungeon with an CSB.EXE version 9.6v5 from a folder/release0.i
If you are using a very recent version of CSBuild then you will need
a very recent version of CSBwin. That is true. So be it. You should
always be using the most recent version of everything unless you
have already started playing a game with an older version and
are accumulating record files for playback. You want all the playback
files to have been created with the same version of CSBwin.

Does that satisfy your curiosity/question? Can these questions
be planted?

Paul: i see, so you can release special verisons of the engine and not have someone playing them in a different way using the normal engine...of course...

Sousou - congratulations : )
