invisible monster

Post by linflas »

i'm playing a custom dungeon with csbwin97. this is a modified version of original DM. i'm at the beginning of level 9 : the snake trick with silent teleporters. Sousou added a scorpion generator but the scorpion must use one of the teleporters and -sometimes but too many times- it is invisible..

hard to kill ;)

I cannot tell if you are saying:
1) Wow! That's neat.
2) What is the trick I need to know.
3) How did he do that?
4) Please fix this bug in CSBwin.

once.
a monster: you can only see it in total darkness and the brighter the dungeon gets (torches . lightspells magictorch spell illumulett(s?) you see less and less of it, until it gets totally invisible at full light-level. : ) = ) ; ) : P

Kind of the reverse thing what happens with meanies when it gets dark in the stonecold corridors...
Just a color and graphic...thought
.........................................................................................................................cut here........
What does level offset mean (x/y)?? It seems to have no effect on anything. Translation of planes. Please explain if appropriate place to ask and time sufficient

3) Did we not discuss this 'feature' some time ago? I think it
has to do with putting more monsters on a square than will fit.

4) I kinda remember offering to 'fix' this designer error. But I was
urged not to fix it so that designers could present invisible monsters.
If, indeed, everyone considers it a bug, then my offer still stands.

Level offset. Plane translation. The locationof the northwest corner
relative to a mythical landmark.
