The Silly and Massive Dungeon Master Christmas story thread

Rules: Simply add one word to the thread each time you post to continue the story (please avoid adding any other comments or off shoots -- I'd like for the sentences to be read easily by people quickly scrolling down each page). When you reach a logical break, you can add a fullstop to your word so that the next person starts a new sentence.

Extra rules:

1) A person cannot post a reply to his own word!

2) Please leave at least a few minutes between each posting if someone else is also posting otherwise you'll simultaneously post and completely cock-up the flow. It's happened a few times already -- while it can be fun for a few nonsense phrases to pop up, if it keeps happening it'll just sound ridiculous rather than funny...
Always refresh right before you want to post a word, especially if many people are viewing the forum.

3) In the event of mutiple postings, then the FIRST person only should alter or delete their post. The second person should not try to repair the damage. For preference, the first person should use all their silliness and cunning to twist their original word to breaking point to fit ,or they can give in and slide in a different word. I'm sure inspired lunacy can result from this too. At worst, just delete the word and try again with it back in the flow : )

No intent of plot or anything and it doesn't have to follow the games at all -- be as silly and creative as you wish, though it should have a little something to do with Christmas! I'm interested to see how far we can go with it. Here's the first word:
