GAME/EDITING: Opbys don't work for alcoves?

Post by L!ghthouse »

I would like to have an alcove that deactivates a movable wall when you place any object in it.

Whenever I try to use any of the OpBys as a trigger on an alcove (All, Object, Mouse, ect...), it doesn't work. I can only specify exactly which object I would like to use as the trigger.

Thanks

Are you saying that even if you set the alcove to be triggered by an OpBy, it doesn't work? Or are you totally unable to set it to an OpBy?

Sounds odd, because I can do both. I have no time to test it to be 101% sure, but I have created alcoves that are triggered by a Mouse.

Very odd - try having a look at the riddle room in DM; that has a bunch of alcoves triggered by specific objects.

Failing that, can you send me a small dungeon txt file that shows exactly what the problem is and I'll take a look at it for you.

@GG
I have e-mailed you a small txt dungeon demonstrating my problem. (let me know if you got it).

You're right, I can change the OpBy parameters to say any specific object and it works, but I would like it to deactivate on any object, not just a specific object. Thanks.

@Big-J-Q
I'm not so sure about the MOUSE OpBy. Try switching it for either OBJECT or ALL and see if you can still use it. This is where I am having my problem.
