Call me a wuss if you want, but figuring out the puzzles, finding objects and exploring the dungeon can be just as fun without having to worry about the monsters.

Simply use and editor such as DMute and remove all monsters and generators. Be warned though, some monsters might carry keys you need to progress.

Wouldn't that make the game rather... well, frankly, dull?

But who am I to stop you? I spent a little ten minutes and made a dungeon like that for you. I tried to make sure I didn't delete any mosters required for puzzles, and that I didn't delete any important items without putting them onto the floor first, but I can't guarantee that I didn't miss any and put the game into unwinnable state..

Dungeon for PC DM:

Just copy it to ..\dm\data dir and rename as dungeon.dat (after backing up the original first).

Oh, I also left the dragon alive, but gave him only 200 hps, in case you want to kill him.. If not, it's big open space, so you can avoid him easily enough.

Actually I'm using the Atari ST version. You didn'y have use 10 minutes of your life you'll never get back just just for me. Thanks I appreciate it. Though I guess I'll have to start over unless you know away to use or convert the ST saved game dat file to PC format. If its just a matter of coping the saved game dat file from the disk image, I know to do that. But I'm sure its not that easy.

You can use the converters from this link to make a PC file work with the ST version:
