[Fixed for V0.37] Fireballs won't always hit you

Post by Trantor »

I noticed this bug a few times in version 0.35 already, but assumed it was a known issue. Sometimes, when a Fireball (or similar missile) comes at you and you step forward, it won't hit you. I suppose the party and the Fireball change tiles simultaneously, so you can't be hit.

Hmm - everything happens sequentially, so it's not a question of simultaneous movement "missing" eachother...

Thinking about it, I guess this scenario is possible:- if you only have characters on the front row of the party square and a fireball is on the nearest sub-tile of the tile infront and then you move forward. In this case your character steps "over" the fireball if you see what I mean.

Is that possible, or did your party have all 4 members in it?

Ah, yes, could be. I only have 2 characters in my party, both in the front row.

This happened in DM / CSB, monsters could walk throuhg your spells if they timed it right. Never noticed if the party did it too
