[Fixed for V0.38] Strange occurence
Yesterday I had a strange occurence: I was in O-DM in level 04 in the room with the pits and the couatl generator. Since I couldn't defeat the couatl toe-to-toe I used the horn of fear and scared it away. It flew to the north-eastern room adjacent to the pit-room and got trapped there (I suppose some invisible tranporter keeps monsters from leaving there - I think it should also keep them from entering). After healing my characters I pursued the couatl and killed it. When it died it created a sound as if an item was dropping and a split-second of grafical gibberish, at least the former seemed strange to me, since it's not carrying an item. I searched for the item I heared, and when I returned toward the pits I noticed, that upon the tile my party was standing when the couatl died a MonVi-potion had appeared (2 tiles away from the tile where the couatl died. I'm pretty certain that it is not one of the potions I had prepared, since every of my charactes is carrying exactly 1 such potion and these potions have been still in place). I mean, thanks for the additional potion, I hope this occurence doesn't endanger the stability of my savegame.

Ok, it IS a bug: This strange flask always has the same content like the original flask the engine seems to have it accidentally cloned from: If I fill the first one, the second one is also filled, and if I empty it, the second one is also emptied, as if 1 item takes 2 item slots. So I'd say the savegame is corrupt now, I'll mail it to you, George.

One remark about the grafical gibberish mentioned. All RTC versions always have been producing a split second of grafical gibberish every few minutes on both my machines, but this can hardly be considered a serios problem. The grafical gibberish occuring when that Couatl died has been a slightly bit more intense and slightly longer (although it was still but a short moment).

Ok, you're probably right - never change a running system, and the loss of 1 bagpack space seems to be affordable. I've been just asking whether this could be fixed within the savegame because I remember, as Beo does, this happening in FTL-DM, and once it happened in FTL-DM it's been usually just a matter of time until the savegame crashed beyond repair. I hope that RTC is more stable in this regard than FTL-DM.
