A few general questions about protection measures:

A physical YaIr-shield (dark blue) will protect from close combat hits. How is it calculated in along with dexterity, armour and defence?

While the original FTL-manual says, that YaBro potions would give a spell-shield, the actual FTL-engine only gave them a YaIr-like physical shielding effect, just for 1 person (but possibly stronger than YaIr?). I always considered this to be a bug and I'm glad to see that GG has fixed this for RTC.
Yet, what does a spell-shield protect against? Lightning only, or poison bolts and clouds too, or maybe even a little bit against fireballs too? How is it calculated in along with anti-magic and anti-fire? Characters do not have a hidden anti-poison-value, do they?

And what does a fireshield protect against? Fireballs only? Probably fireball-like effects like Ful-bombs too? But does it also protect a bit against lightning? How is it calculated in along with anti-fire and possibly anti-magic?
Parting is all we know from Heaven, and all we need of hell.
