Can the character box borders indicating for the 3 shields (physical shield, fire shield and spell-shield) please be modified in a way that will make them thicker or thinner depending on the current shields' strength and more or less complete border the shielded character's box depending on how much duration is left?
Parting is all we know from Heaven, and all we need of hell.

I can't see how this would work.
The shield bitmaps, are just that, bitmaps. Therefore I have no control over what they look like and how they could be adjusted because designers could replace them with anything. For example, instead of a border someone might have a colour "wash" over the entire characters slot using alpha channels bitmaps (and therefore there is no border to complete and/or widen).

Yeah, a nice to have but really hard to implement in practice.
Personally, I ike the the fact that you don't know when they will run out, it shows the inherent instability of magick...
I remember in FTL DM/CSB, if you had cast lots of fireshields, as each on ran out, there would be a flicker -- not quite sure why or how, but it definitely was there!
