Silly/Amusing Character names?
HI,
Just wondering, what is the silliest or funniest names you have given your characters in Dungeon Master. I remember a party I created with Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail and tiggy winkle . I was rather young at the time...
any others...?

oddly I always seem untouchable in these instances. either that or you all know the truth.. that I HATE EVERONE... MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..... HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... er.. I mean uhmmm...
CAREBEAR STAAAAAAREEEE!!!!!
ahh.. now I feel all mushy inside..
As for the names.. I picked names off the top of my head. Though one particularly embarrasing time, I used the name of a girl I had a crush on for one of my characters in EOB simply because she looked a bit like her.

A friend and I - having just got hold of Chaos Strikes Back on the ST - once spent an entire night just playing about with the character picture editor. It started out fairly normal, heroic-looking characters with regular fantasy style names... but at some point silliness took over and we ended up drawing all sorts of things. Our other obsession at the time was mountan biking, so we created a character who was nothing more than a pair of suspension forks, and called him 'Fawkes'.
I think I got him to Archmaster, actually
I also had a custom drawn Reservoir Dogs team, the leader being 'Mr. Pink The Professional'

Yes, if my heart rate goes over 150, I might die; kind of like the film "speed", only subtly different
If I keep it below about 120 at all times, I should be able to buy myself a few more years before having the open heart surgery (but unfortunately, that's innevitable - it's just a question of when).
Anyway, it cuts down on the ability to race really so I've got to work out what to do with all my spare time now - any suggestions?

Things that are creatively rewarding is always good. As it leaves with a sense of pride upon completion. Though does not get your heart rate up from excitement the feeling can be quite enjoyable.
Writing, playing music (mellow music), drawing, sculpting, ceramics, painting, cooking, tai chi, and various other passtimes that have no down side. You might want to avoid playing games that will get your juices pumping as that can probably get you up there too.. I know I can get pretty peeved from a game of mario.. next thing you know I'm nearly yelling at the little plumber and that's not good :S
There are still plenty of rewards in life that don't involve heavy exercise. Look at it as only a minor setback.
I wish you all the best of luck when you finally decided to go forward. The wonderfull thing with medicine is new miricles are performed every day.. we advance steadily into the future and people live longer and healtheir lifespans. Remember that the average life span was 40 if that.. now the average is more along the lines of 70. people living beyond 100 all the time.

Average lifespan is over 80...I think it's something like women 87, blokes 84...something like that...I know women have a higher average than blokes anyway .

hmm.. according to a statistical website I just investigated.. it showed averages covering most of the states and then did an over all total. The number was nearly 73 and females nearly 80. others concur. here's one from harvard university. Sounds like a respectable enough source. It claims 72 for men and 80 for women in the start of the article but suggests that those women born after 1960 could hold and average of about 85.

I am ofcourse incredibly lazy and did not read the entire article.. so if I missed something then you can call me on it
Personally I don't expect to go much past 75 or possibly 80. The oldest recorded was a woman of 123 according to that article who lived in france. My Mother took care of a man who was 103 or something.. had a letter from the queen for reaching 100 years old. He got up every day and went for a jog. Needed no help from anyone.

it depends of lifestyle; for example in south of the Italy people IN GENERAL lives longer than in the nothern/ central parts of this country. Besides, they usually spend their old age in relatively good health and dies "quickly*" (one day a person is health, next day dies), in contrary to the people from the north, where they much more frequently have an "old age complaints" and dies "slowly*". We don`t know the reason, but I suppose it`s about a completely different lifestyle (we can only guess it`s probably less stressing lifestyle?).
or maybe it`s just good influence of "italo" music ?
