Well I don't know about you, but there's no way in hell I'd want to drink from THAT fountain!

Creepy and frightening, and very cool!

Would it be more useful to everyone if you provided a link to the fountain was on it's own, without the context of the wall as it's background.

That way people should be able to paste it over the top of their own wall set.... And dont forget to do the sides (for DMJava at least)!!! What a pain, though.

I will post the set when it's done. which might be a day or two yet. Been slow going.. just finding the time between other things I want to do.

The fountains in DMJ are connected to the walls at least in the samples I've been working on. so these are made for these walls specifically.

the whole set will contain the doom heads, switches and cracks as well as the new floor/ceiling.

Didn't read the forum subject heading - you're doing a whole wall set!

Well, the example looks great. Will be waiting with anticipation.

Recommend you update this thread/sticky when you've finished it?

some more samples from what I've done to this set. there is more than this of course.. but a few bugs need to be worked out for some of them.

My question now is who wants to make them work for RTC :P

Ah! That looks really neat!

The only problem is, without all-new everything else, it doesn't really work :(

Love the walls, alcoves and fountains, look really great -- but the floor doesn't seem at all consistent -- I think it's too smooth and looks more plastic than the rest of it, especially I think the highlights are too pronounced.

I think the floor would be good if there were moss, muck and dirt details and a few chips too

ok, I'll work on the floor. As for the new everything else. The wall set includes switches, cracks, demon heads, alocves, altar of rebirth, door frames, fountains, pits, stairs, and I think that's about all I have here. I can do a few more items. What other items were you looking for Sophia?

It depends... if you are talking about working with someone on a brand new spiffy looking dungeon, which would be cool, by the the way, there'd have to be new weapons, food, interface, monsters (though that great looking knight you made would fit right in!) etc.

I love the fact that the pits line up with the rocks in the floor but of course this will only look right for every other step...

That side view of the lion fountain is superb though -- great stuff!

uff, it's not quite polished.. but here's what I've not spent the last while on.. any better?

Need to redo the pits... hey, can you force the pits to flip with the floor?

OOoooh, yeah, that's much better, love it! :D Nope, you can't make pits flip as far as I know.

so uh.. heh.. you wanna make this set work for RTC? huh huh? eh? yeah.. you know you wanna.. come on :)

Not automatically, but you can always just clone it and have two different graphics that you use in the right places.

It's a little more work, but it's super neato that way.

Cows, that is beautiful.

Oh my... wow.

This is incredible!

And yes, it MUST be made compatable with RTC, they're too beautiful to be left out.

I agree that a whole set of everything (food, weapons, monsters, champions, etc.) would be perfect for consistency, but just thinking about how much work THAT would involve makes my spine chill.

well there is two things with the RTC compatablility. You see the way I've made these in photoshop is that they have translucency, so would look better when using that with some items.. but in DMJ I just carve out whatever sticks past the edge and just hope for the best. So someone would need to extract them from the PSD one by one or just convert the gif images...

also, the alingment of walls and items in RTC is different from DMJ so you would need to align them all in the RTC dat file. Which is why that dat file for images used should be completely different from the map.dat but I'm not sure that it is.. been a while since I checked on that. As I remember when I was making mine in the past.. it was directly one file for what images to use and where in the map and so in order to make it work.. you needed to do a whole bunch of junk..

anyway.. moo
