It'd be absolutely great if RTC would eventually become a DM-All-in-One!

In that case it would be cool if the original Kid's Dungeon could also be icluded. Gambit, didn't you create a version of the Kid's Dungeon some way back? Could that be adapted to the current RTC (43)?

It was a simple 'child friendly' dungeon that came with the Apple version of the game. Very small, not much to do, but lots of treasure to find.

I mapped it and made a version for RTC. After I managed to convert it from the original Apple format and look at it in CSBuild, I made it available for CSBWin and the original PC and Amiga versions -- and then updated the RTC version so it was more accurate.

It's in the Custom Dungeons sticky thread -- no reason why it shouldn't work with current RTC versions I believe...

Ok, in this case I suggest to include it in the default download of RTC.

No, why not have it as an easter egg as the original kid's dungeon was! *bounce*

There's no reason not to have the other dungeons with RTC, but I reckon people asking should also be putting forward some work! Getting DM2, I had always suspected as being an ultimate 'this is version 1.0 people bye' thing in the future, I never expected to see it happen so fast!

Beo: Well, it seems that in regard to the Kid's Dungeon Gambit already has done the work some time ago. So, let's make it part the default dungeons.

But it would be fun as an easter egg, especially if it was in the readme file

Easter egg would be ok with me, but that would require George to include some "hidden dungeons" switch in the config file that will hide *.RTC files specified there in the dungeon list on startup unless some easter egg is triggered. George would also have to include easter egg triggers.
So, if George would do this, that'd be ok with me, but as long as there are no such switches, I think it would be easier to simply include the kid's rtc-file in the default modules.

Or he could just have an illlusionary fake wall and a teleporter when theron first enters the dungeon you can sidestep into, and a fake immoveable wall takes it's place if theron walks into the dungeon normally...no easter egg trigger needed

Poeple would find it when they look at the original dungeon layout eventually!

I'm surprised that the Encylopaedia dosn't have any information on the Kid's Dungeon... that's why I'd never heard of it before!

http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/441 is the scan under apple II version...maybe it was in the faq or tricks and tips...there was text about it somewhere....

Does it deserve it's own page since it is just a few rooms and a room with a dragon? I don't know...

Well as it *is* a whole FTL-created Dungeon Master dungeon, I would have thought so.

It's not like there are a hundred different "official" dungeons and DM-based games all competing for attention...

Maybe the Kid's Dungeon could be an unlockable bonus level after getting all 7 items on Theron's Quest.

It would give a bit of extra depth to Theron's Quest, if reports of that game being a bit "light" are accurate... something worthwhile playing for?

Lol, nah, the kid's dungeon is cute and would be funny as i suggested above to find it with theron...but otherwse nah. For that youd want to unlock like surgical strike or angel's egg!
