New to the forum old school Atari ST owner

Hey gang, just signed up and everything looks great. I'm a bit shocked to see such a strong following. I thought this game was pretty underground when I was a kid, it seemed nobody knew DM, let alone played it. It's one of the best game I have ever played.

I never finished the game and had to start over a few times when I had some problems with my disk drive. My 520st crashed and I bagged the whole Atari thing. Later on I picked up a 1040st at a yard sale and tried to find my old software only to discover that my mother had thrown it all out.

I'm happy to find that this game is not only free to download, but has so much support for people like me that love the game. It's strange that I still enjoy playing the game after all these years and I think it has something to do with the progression of the game and the fact that it was so ahead of its time.

It feels nice to be on board.

Hehe, welcome to the forum and all that :D. New (well, old) DM lovers are always popping up here and there - nice to have yet another one. As well as DM, CSB, and DM2, there are also a whole bunch of custom dungeons available for download. And of course you can make your own in either the RTC or the CSBWin editor...or both I suppose ;).
Anyway, if you say you've never actually finished original DM...well, that's something to be getting on with for now, isn't it? ;)

Welcome to the forums azziado! DM had a cult following from the start, and it is still my favourite game of all time. It's always good to see somebody new on these forums! :D
