Problems on level 3 getting through the a door

Using the RTC version of dungeon master (original version) and I can't seem to get through the metal door just before you meet the 1st lot of purple worms. I press the secret button to teleport, but I can't side step in time. Which keyboard key lefts you strafe? (using a laptop). Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

You can use the config file to code any key to sidestep left (the file gives the keywords too)

to edit the side step keys in config would I type...

- STEP RIGHT: KEY_STEP_RIGHT_Z
- STEP LEFT: KEY_STEP_LEFT_X

If I wanted to make the keys Z&X sidestep keys?

Nope, most of those are descriptions - the lines would be:

KEY_TURN_LEFT Z
KEY_TURN_RIGHT X

With a <tab> where I have a space (it won't show up on the forum layout)
