Import PC-CSB Characters to PC-DM

Post by Optis »

Hello every body
sorry for my english, i'm french...

I use Clone-CSBwin-PC-DungeonMaster-100 game and Clone-CSBwin-PC-ChaosStrikesBack-100.

Actually i know how to import dm characters in CSB game but i want to do the opposite.

But has anyone figured a way to import PC-CSB characters
into a DM game using CSBwin or ?

Thank u

Just use CSBuild to edit the DM characters. I think that's the only way you'd manage it.

(Wouldn't CSB characters be too powerful for DM?)

I have never tried it. But - CSBuild
has an 'Export Character Data' which you
could use to write a binary file of the
characters from CSB. It has an 'Import
Character Data' whcih you could use
to import that binary file into a DM game.

See the 'Edit' menu.

If it does not work for some reason, let me
know and I think we can make it work.

The CSBwin forum further down has several posts, otherwise you just need to look at the existing dungeosn and get a feel for what it can do

I had tried it but without success. I never learned about binary files or hexa(...).
Is there a way to do it easily?

I just tried it with CSBuild version 3.06.
It should work with earlier versions.

It works for me. What did you do?
Did you load your saved game? Did you
click on 'Edit/Export Character Data'?
Did you find the exported '.bin' file?
What is it that did not succeed?
