UK Online Safety Act Compliance

Post by Sophia »

Many DM fans live in the UK, so I thought that building compliance into DSB for the well thought out and mostly uncontroversial Online Safety Act would be a good idea. Since it has been a pretty uneventful year where not much of importance happened it seemed like a good time to work on this.

Age verification will be accomplished in DSB mostly by the fact that everyone who actually cares about DM is pretty old now anyway. However, since this may not actually be legally robust enough in some jurisdictions, you will also be able to enter your personal information which will go into a database that will be used to verify your age and also be sold to whomever pays me the most money.

For those who don't want to verify age, I'm also working on an OSA compliant "all ages" version of DSB. You will no longer be able to remove anyone's clothes, Daroou now starts with pants on, bumping into walls and then falling down a pit no longer sounds like an orgy, and stone golems have their bare butts blurred out. Mophus is also completely removed from the game, of course.

Sounds like great ideas to both monetize your work and protect the youth

Ah yes of course, clearly these rules are very well-thought-out and definitely legit on this fine and very specific day - I'm sure DSB will be all the better for the changes ;).
