@Money: Yes, that's right, save games are not forwards compatible. You'll have to start over :(

I started over. I found it. I am playing 3.1. What has happened to the download link?

Adamski removes the links when there is an issue with the game, just so new people don't hit the issues current players do. He's not released the new version yet - patience until Sunday :)

I have completed some of the other secret areas - but what is the big circle puzzle?

Also need to know:

- On the clock level, how do I open the door with the tech eye that says 'what is there'?
- In the basement near the end, another tech says 'you can't pass'?
- The door to the beholders?

it is sunday sir. .. please sir.. kind sir .. my fix please sir.. I have waited patiently for this day to finally arrive , sir .. Just kidding. I really hope we can use our old saves. Can someone help me to get my saves into the rtc txt format so I can use the editor to look at the maps. I am not sure if I would be able to figure out this game without it. At least in the next ten years. I am stuck at every guild, every area. I can't figure out the mage guild. I am stuck at the wind and the eye in the darkness doors. Help. I did get through the warrior guild. WATER!! Yes WATER!! Stuck in the sewer. stuck in the thief guild, the priest guild, etc. etc. I guess I am requesting help with the mage guild to get past the eye. Thanks. Did I mention that it is SUNDAY???

Adamski said NEXT SUNDAY, that means next week, the 17th.

Unfortunately, no-one can help you get your saves into a TXT format -- they are encrypted and only George Gilbert, creator of RTC, would be able to help you (well, unless someone wants to have a go at reverse engineering!)

The eye in the darkness corridor is asking for a very obvious solution. It's the first spell you learn in original Dungeon Master. Perhaps you haven't found the spell book or necessary runes yet?

stewy, the bad news is that you can't complete this guild because there is a wall which obstructs the passage to the room with the ruby key. In my last version I have removed this wall, but I am afraid of other unwanted walls so I prefer checking all the maps. I said "next sunday" for the release, that is today (Gambit there was a misunderstanding :) ). Unluckily I was busy so the release will be next week (from 11 to 17 January) with a BIG surprise. Send me your savegames by email (ask me in pm for my email) and I'll check them with the new version (I noticed that sometimes a savegame works with a new version, rarely with the changes in the map).

Paul:
clock level:
Spoiler
you should be as curious as this eye: this is the big circle riddle
you can't pass:
Spoiler
that eye is a guardian (I can't say more)
beholder:
Spoiler
it can be opened from another side, but...

Spoiler
I put the four leaf clover to the eye, and it flashed. The curious hint though isn't ringing any bells with me lol. I have managed to enter the beholder lair and killed them, but vigor still confuses me (as does the none shall pass' area)!

Spoiler
Ok, got the two runes and opened the door, and killed the dragon. I also got past the eye that is a guardian by teleporting from infront of the door to the safe place, teleporting back to the door, steeping back and opening the door, then reteleprting - it bypassed the close mechanism. I entered the field after killing the golems, and it said I had solved the riddle and got the firestaff, but the staff was still behind the field.

I am still trying to find the ful rune. just a small hint to get past my mental impasse or missed trigger, or unsolved riddle, etc. I am trying ti figure out what the trigger near the stairwell going into the passage in the graveyard does. This is the spiders den. There is a pit in the center of the room under a trapdoor. I moved the tree creature onto it and hit the trigger several times... nothing. Trying ti figure out the significance of the items in the room.

That room becomes clearer when you solve a different area and open the door from the other side.

There are lots of jars around in the various tombs, if you smash them open you can get items, ashes, or spirits. I think the spirits are the penalty for smashing the wrong jar, but I'm not certain.

The mummy, I believe, needs to be lead to the middle of a specific tomb - the priest's tomb. Though sadly haven't got that far, so again can't be certain!

How important is the mummy? should I spend so much time trying to figure out what to do with him. He has gotten loose on the weather area. Is this important?

Alfonzo, the mummy is not important! When you find the
Spoiler
right bones to use in the re-birth alcove
, this will make a little more sense. Read the scrolls in the priests tomb - that should help solve this riddle.

It says more about the not so average Floyd fan. My bet is also lots of musicians. And I agree that Gilmour's extraordinary contributions turned these songs...... excuse me ... These Pieces into eternal reverential anthems! Is that a little over the top? I think not! Hail! and I'm still unable to find the ful rune.
