It might be worth my mentioning that, to someone of Westian's mentality ("Oh mighty High Lord, I serve thee" and all that malarky

), it may occur that elemental forces of nature such as these are probably the closest things the Murafu have to religious deities. Of course, the Murafu
themselves don't see it as such - not in any kind of religious way. They just kinda live out in the wilds, wherever they can comfortably settle down (and of course come across as primitive etc to "civilised" beings such as humans, who biuld houses and all that), and so are much more in tune with natural occurances than those species who choose to shut themselves away in houses all the time. Things like wind and rain have a much greater significance to those who live outside so much. Of course, murafu will often "construct" dwelings of a kind, perhaps digging burrows or building dirt mounds or using branches or whatever in order to provide some shelter, but in general Nature is in charge, along with the local predators.
As such, Ameena already will already have a huge amount of innate respect for what she sees as being, apparently, a sentient part of the very world in which she, and everything else, lives. And, as you may have noticed, since things like ponds and air currents don't normally tend to provide much by way of conversation, she has almost literally leapt upon this opportunity to try and find out what it's like to
be Air and Water. As noted in the IC, after all this stuff like scary mages, undead critters, and other such nasties, suddenly being faced by something as simple-seeming as the power of Water and of Air seems thankfully familiar and she welcomes it. If she didn't know there was some kind of really important job that needed doing here underground (even though she can't remember exactly what it is), she'd probably by now have asked the elementals if they could give the group a boost up the chimney and help her get out of the dungeon

.
I wonder if the Snake Staff will be of any use here - it's imbued with some kind of Nature power, after all. Maybe showing it to the elementals might trigger some kind of reaction? Of course, I suppose we first have to wait and see how they react to what people have just been saying to them...
