1) known bug. send me a savegame and I'll fix it.
2) send me a savegame so I investigate.
3) You need a piece of hell around your neck.
4) You're the first I know to discover this artefact. You'll have to investigate by yourself and share.
5) Probably somewhere that you already explored. (I can hint if you send the savegame).

First, I'll need to know where to send it to.
Second, I found
Spoiler
The Hellion
in
Spoiler
Hell
, but couldn't manage to get away with it. So I got one from
Spoiler
the Fall of Fright
Also, now I need 5 different species of eggs for the alcoves in the Chamber of Oblivion. Any ideas where I can get green dragon eggs, as the dragon in the Emerald Forest didn't leave any.
And, I can't find ruster eggs or worm eggs. Spider eggs are easy to get, but I only know of one spot to get muncher eggs, as the munchers in the water area don't seem to leave any.
Spoiler
That one area in mophus's ending where the portal drags you in has some.

Interesting, did that area without Gothmog, so didn't get the ultimate reward. I seem to recall there are warm eggs around (I think they are dragon eggs) - possibly from Moria? Similarly to the ruster eggs. M<unchers occasionally drop eggs, even if there are none lying around anywhere to start with.

This reminds me, I'm trapped in the area where the darc armour comes from (my own fault for going back there) - I assume this is a bug? Can't get out, can I send my game over too?

Beo, I don't think you quite understand. I mean that I intentionally failed the trial.
Spoiler
There is a false wall in there, that has a Hellion, a Certificate of Innocence, and a pit out.
Also, I found the way to steal the trial items, you just have to have absurdly high-level characters. See above, but you gotta be VERY fast.

I've looked all over in Moria and the Mines, but I can't find any eggs...
Perhaps the ruster egg means rust, as that is all that they seem to drop.
Is this puzzle meant to be solvable in this version?

One other interesting note: From the crypt area of the priest path off of the guilds, behind the skeleton key door, appears to only be a skeleton key behind a gold door. Not a good deal, right? However, once you access the Chamber of Oblivion, then
Spoiler
there is one cross that you can click on that eliminates a wall, allowing you instant access to the Chamber without having to go all the way down there.

Yes, it's a shortcut back.

I'm investigating the eggs affair.

Ah, I see. That's not the only way into Hell. I hadn't tried that route again to see if there was anything different that way.

I kept all my eggs rather than use then, except I accidentally used some muncher eggs or worm eggs for the guild. I'll have to doubel check, but I seem to recall I got them back much later from an area. I'll see if I can find out where.

The short cut back to the priest guild is pretty cool - what isn't cool is not realising for ages that the wraiths come back for a very specific reason, or that Daddy Death is

well, is Death, and so unkillable!

Actually, the pit there drops you into the Crypt. You can't get into Inferno through there. However, it is useful for other things. For instance, simply being able to say that you got away with it.
However, it would be nice if you could get those eggs in different places, just in case, cause I really don't wanna restart just to save the eggs. Oh well.

And now I'm confused. Which pit? Does Hell not lead to inferno?

When you fail the trial, you are in a small room o doom. There will be a set of 4 demons with tentacles, and if you rush them and kill them, then you can be adjacent to the wall. If then you turn right and kill the flames there, and move into their spot, there is a fake wall to your left. When you go in it, there will be a Hellion and a certificate of innocence in an alcove in front of you. To your right there will be an invisible pit that leads to the Crypt. There are no other exits.

Ah, i see, hell's exit doesn't go to inferno, got it. I got my hellion for a different source and haven't been in hell since conflux II, so quite a while ago :)

Thanks for the fix, Zyx. Also, the zoo area beyond the egg puzzle is very cool. I'm not gonna kill any of them, so that I can look at them whenever.

Just wondering, is Vecna still killable in 3.5? I have been slugging away at her for hours with the Caliburn and the Leviathan, and I am not getting anywhere. However, the fight is almost self-perpetuating, as I can simply regen enough mana to cast the healing potions and stamina potions going. Should I just cut and run, or still keep trying? Oh, and it seems that after around an hour of fighting Vecna, her Darkness effect is no longer triggered when she attacks. Just FYI.

I can usually do about 20 points of damage per attack, so she must either be nearly dead or have a huge regen rate.

Just whacked away at her for another 45 minutes, and she still isn't dead. She must have had a huge boost since 3.0, since it took me far less time then. Also, in 3.0 when she was getting low on health she would try to run away, does she still do this?
Also, what is the most effective thing to use on her? Lor is a 4th level master fighter with 110 strength, and he still only manages to do 30 points max with the Leviathan, usually about 20.

I barely let her hit me - does she regenerate health through hitting you? I had my strength up around 150 -170 (as maintainable as I could) and was using one of the maces of order. Still only did around 30 - 50 points after the start (I think she drains your 'strength' too, in that weapon hits seem weaker are the inital attack.

I've been having a max-level stoneskin up at all times, so she can usually only do damage with the poison cloud that goes off when she attacks.

EDIT: I actually managed to kill her rather quickly once I started using my unique Mace of Order, I was able to usually do about 60 points up to high 80s occasionally. Oh, now her curse is way worse than normal, with the diseases and all.
Just wondering, what is up with the constant lightning bolt sound? It has been playing since I killed her.

OOh, ok. In horrible news, I found another bug in the saved game I had you might want to fix for this new release (if it's something obvious)

Spells like zokathra and the magic purses have stopped working - it looks like thigns that put items int othe party hand/inventory basically. It's in the saved game I sent you before (I just didn't spot it for what it was for a while). Sorry for not twigging sooner! :(

I'll have a look tomorrow but I think that you simply reached the item limit. I fixed the chain of events leading to this overpopulation, but can't fix your savegame. However, Paul was working on an more aggressive algorithm to discard items, so you should send him the savegame.

Reached the item limit O.O Woah... you broke Paul's engine!

Anyway, if you've got a bugfixed version of the game, I guess I should start again using that anyway!

Hello there
After 2 years again I'm on my way to explore Conflux. Of course since then I lost all my maps and the codes to the maps, so it's really hard (and as new even on levels 0-3). I love it.

Are there still antsmangenerator problems in 3.0B5?

thanks for your time and this wonderful gem of a game.

Joramun wrote:There are a lot of generators but at some point they don't create that much enemies. Especially once you have defeated the "gnoll nest" (where a mace is found).

I'm not sure about it, but the more you use the stairs down to the sewers, the more you meet blue gnolls.

So, avoid uselessly going up and down those stairs.
ah already there is an answer to the antman generation in the sewers :)
what a fancy anti-leveling measurement
