Ok I've progressed a bit now.
I just wasn't thirsty enough for the answer to finding the item I needed.
I'll have a look for the gold key now, and for a way to defeat the hellhound.

Assuming you've found what's above...how could you focus the atmospheric conditions to your advantage?

Ok, a bit more obvious :)

This puzzle is actually carried out the same as it was in Shadowgate, I just made it feel more logical to my mind.

Right above, there's a hole. What could go in there? You might be shocked to figure out the answer.

I hope that helps ;)

Oh, OK, I already know what I'm looking for to go in the hole on the roof -- I haven't found it yet and I didn't realise it was connected to this puzzle.

So is there a way past the rock slide at the beginning?

No, that was from original one, in sophia's version there is something beside it instead!

Hmmm.... OK.

I need something to give the bones life.
I also need a mirror.
I need a sword for the king to match his ******
I need a ***** rod

I guess some of these are revealed by finding others of these? Any hints, you can keep em subtle... ;)

You don't need a sword for the king...what you need will be solved by the altar. Bones aren't the only remains. And you have probably walked passed the rod a few times now...

I have a funny feeling the mirror was also in with the altar solution...

I think I found a solution to the wriath, that migth not of been intential.

I walked backwards thru the door and it didn't attack me.

I then picked up the shirt.

But when I leave that room and turned back around to go thru the door again, the wraith pops up again and blocks the door.

I found the correct solution to getting rid of it eventually. Hopefully I only needed that for two things...

Are we suppose to kill all of the monsters? i.e. the dragon or banshee?

Is there a second secret passage or anything that I'm missing? Because I really can't see what I need to do. I found the Gold coins and the GOR coin, I was able to get the Crystal blade piece but I've been looking all over and I can't find what I have to do...

Are you still tryign to solve the trees? There are three parts to it - use the fountain without gettign your hand hurt, then use that object to open up the wall where the clue text is, then use another item you would have got from one of the previous rooms on the revealed object

You mean you were focussing on the "E"; that's not what I said - in fact, quite the opposite

Sounds good to me. With this creature, try not to think about how to "kill" it - just how you would get past it.

It's not a manhole cover.

Hint 1: It's a conduit to the tile one level directly below.

Hint 2: What could it be a conduit for?

Hint 3: The top of the conduit is not in a room is it?

Hint 4: What sort of object would you need to complete the structure?

I must be missing the correct item to use, then.

Which area should I be looking in to find it?

I've also progressed to the area with the Scorpion, but I can't defeat it.

As said to gambit, not defeat, neutralise...and it has nothign to do with the scorpion (I was stuck fully at this one)

The item you need is actually in plain sight, as I also said to gambit, and so its mroe a method of recognising its there and getting it

You can't defeat, trap, out-manoeveur, out-wit or even evade the scorpion - you're going to have to face the innevitable truth; it's going to attack, and you're going to get hit.

The solution to the problem might seem like it's innocuous, but it does work after a few tries.

So maybe you have to have done something first to neutralise its attack...

Try not to confine your thinking to a DM-like game but instead think of the puzzle as if you met the scorpion in real life; it certainly doesn't "just attack".

Hint: Be more specific with the type of attack - for example; does it tickle you to death?

Once you've worked out *how* you die, go back and look through your inventory at what items you have and then at all the hints again...
