charged weapons

Post by Lunever »

I don't know hw this is currently handled: Does a charged burning or crackling weapon like a fury/ra-blade, bolt blade/storm, stormring, dragon-spit, staff of claws, flammit etc.. do more damage while still burning/crackling compared to the burnt-out item is is conversed to after using up tha last charge? Same goes for torches of course, a burning torch should do far more damage than a burnt-out one.

If not consider this to be a suggestion.

No it doesn't in the DM / CSB dungeons (because the originals didn't), but the engine allows it if you want to have such a feature in your own custom dungeons.

Well, then hereby I suggest adding ot to RTC's RTC-version of the DM-dungeon (but of course not to the O-DM dungeon).

You could just make your own version of the DM dungeon with all the changes you are suggesting making - like Gamb it is doing with the high res graphics version

Yes, I could, and the probability that I will is high (although currently I lack a bit the time for it). Yet, even when I'll have done so, I'll still make such suggestions first publicly, because having them implemented in the RTC dungeon will still allow you to stay gHoF-compatible, while designing and playing your alternate DM dungeon will not. After all I think that's what's the RTC dungeon is for IMHO: While the DM dungeon is there to serve our nostalgia (I love to immerse myself fully into that nostalgia), the RTC dungeon is supposed to further evolve DM. You can't evolve a project without trying something new from time to time. I hope we'll never stop trying something new, at least occasionally.
